The best keynote speaker was Dr Vincent Covello – I could have listened to him for two days!!
Dr Vincent Covello is the director of the Centre for Risk Communication in New York City. A standout favourite speaker at our conference, HASANZ is bringing Dr Covello back to New Zealand to run two workshops in late March. I hope you have your name down for one of them and make this your CPD priority this year!
We all know the importance of Continuing Professional Development to maintain our competence and currency in our professional practice in a fast-changing world.
These intensive, interactive, full day workshops will explore best practices for health and safety engagement and communication and will be highly relevant to anyone with a leadership or advisory role in this area.
Dr Covello is a world authority on risk, crisis, and change management communication, advising organisations and government agencies on high-concern risk and crisis situations, including the Zika virus outbreak in South America, the Fukushima nuclear fallout in Japan and the Ebola virus outbreak in Africa.
In the workshops Dr Covello will apply his extensive knowledge to our changing landscape for health and safety engagement and communication, and give you practical advice and tools to use. We've kept numbers at 50 to make them as "hands-on" as possible.
It's not often you get the opportunity to have a whole day's face time with an international expert of Covello's calibre. I urge you to take it!
