Peter Biggs (New Zealand)
Peter Biggs is the National Chief Executive of advertising agency, Assignment Group. He is also Chair of the Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA). A former Wellingtonian of the Year, Peter was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2013.
From 2006 until 2014, he was Chief Executive of Clemenger BBDO in Melbourne. Under his leadership the agency built a global reputation as one of the best agencies in the world. It earned accolades as Campaign Brief's Australian Agency of the Year for a record five years in a row and Asia-Pacific's Most Effective Agency. Previously, as Managing Director of Clemenger BBDO in Wellington, Peter was named Agency Chief Executive of the Year in 2003.
Peter is Chair of the New Zealand Book Council, a Board member of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and a trustee of the New Zealand Arts Foundation. He is also The Prince of Wales' Charities Representative in New Zealand. He was Chair of the Arts Council of New Zealand (Creative New Zealand) from 1999 to 2006. Peter has a first class honours degree in English Literature and Latin from Victoria University.
