Being on the HASANZ Register is more than a credential – it’s a statement of professionalism, trust, and impact. Every HASANZ Registered professional plays a vital role in keeping New Zealanders safe and healthy at work. Together, you represent the highest standard of health and safety expertise in Aotearoa.
Now, we have a chance to prove what we already know – that your work makes a measurable difference.
HASANZ has received funding from ACC to deliver important research into the current needs and impact of New Zealand’s health and safety workforce. A key part of this work is to demonstrate the true value of HASANZ and the HASANZ Register – providing ACC with a clear picture of their return on investment over the years.
We know this is complex mahi – especially when it comes to capturing the real-world impact of your expertise in data form. But this project gives us a rare and powerful opportunity to show that what you do every day truly matters – to workers, to businesses, and to the safety and wellbeing of Aotearoa.
We Need Your Help
We’re asking HASANZ Registered professionals to share 5–10 examples of projects you've worked on within your current role (or previous roles within the last 5 years), where your interventions reduced risks and prevented harm. If you can offer more examples, even better – please get in touch if you’re able to submit more than 10.
This information will help compare ACC claims data before and after your involvement, showing the measurable difference you make.

How Your Information Will Be Used
Your survey responses will be shared with ACC so that they can do the analysis for this project.
Your anonymity will be preserved in all communications with partnering organisations, including ACC and HASANZ committees.
Any research findings will be reported confidentially – your individual responses, or the fact that you took part, will not appear in public reports unless you specifically agree to this.
All information will be stored securely within HASANZ-controlled systems and SharePoint.
How You Participate

SURVEY TYPE A: Tell us about multiple projects/pieces of work you conducted in one business.
SURVEY TYPE B: Tell us about projects/pieces of work you helped multiple businesses with.
You can either complete both surveys, or just the one that better suits with the way you have worked with businesses in recent years. The below diagram will help you decide which survey is most suitable for you.
