HASANZ scholarships are aimed at individuals currently working in health and safety, as well as those who wish to pursue a career in this field.

Applications for the 2025 HASANZ Scholarships Open 4 July!

We’re excited to announce that the HASANZ Scholarship Programme is back for 2025 — and we’re looking for passionate people ready to take their health and safety career to the next level. Whether you’re just starting or ready to specialise, now’s your chance to apply.

This year, we’re offering scholarships across four categories:

Health & Safety - For practitioners, representatives, or students aiming to gain a diploma, degree, or postgraduate qualification in health and safety.
Poutama - For Māori health and safety professionals who want to deepen their skills and grow their impact.
WISE (Women in Safety Excellence) – For women in health and safety ready to move into leadership and governance roles.
Human Factors/Ergonomics (HFE) – For those wanting to specialise in HFE to improve systems, design, and people’s working lives.

Applications open 4 July and close at midnight, 8 September.

Important: Applications must be submitted using the online form available on this site from 4 July. Submissions through any other channel will not be accepted.
